Millions of Americans get to keep their health care because, Senator John Sydney McCain, a decorated soldier and war hero managed to fly back to the Capitol, after his brain cancer surgery.
Vice president Pence, spent 21 minutes trying to convince the Senator, to side with the GOP and vote in favor of the “Skinny Repeal Plan” but Senator McCain stood his ground while explaining that the GOP was in too much of a hurry to make a decision that would adversely impact the life of too many Americans.
The 80 year old senator who was diagnosed with a Primary Gliobastoma, underwent surgery at the Mayo Clinic Hospital, in Phoenix, Arizona. Glioblastoma is a very aggressive cancerous tumor, associated with blood clots. His lab results from the surgery, detected the presence of a blood clot.
Senator John McCain has since undergone a three week chemotherapy treatment, including other cancer treatments. Through a USA Today, live chat on Facebook, the senator has maintained that, he`s very optimistic about his recovery. He also plans on returning to the Senate, in September, 2017.
