Retired Nigerian Army Lieutenant General and former Chief of Army Staff, Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau was currently appointed the Nigerian Minister of The Interior. He was recently allegedly quoted saying that Nnamdi Kanu – the leader of the Indeginous People Of Biafra, will be KILLED!

Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau, allegedly continued to boastfully reveal the fact that, the death of Nnamdi Kanu would not tear Nigeria apart (Allegedly inferring that, the mission Nnamdi Kanu is focused on as leader of the IPOB, is not quite relevant to Nigeria, as a nation).

He may have also stated that, he along with the Federal Government, imprisoned Obafemi Awolowo, hung Ken Saro – Wiwa to death and in July of 1998, beat Chief Moshood Mashimawo Olawale Abiola to death, then in June of 1996 had already ambushed and assasinated MKO`s wife – Alhaja Kudirat Abiola, for equal measure.

Abdulrahman Dambazau has since responded to these reports by denying every claim. He went on to say, all quotes were incorrect and may have been concocted by people who are focused on creating public unrest, disunity and insecurity amongst the Nigerian people. He continued his denial through a signed statement by his press secretary; Osaigbovo Ehisienmen.

It reads as thus:

“The attention of the Honourable minister of Interior, Lt General (Rtd) Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau, has been drawn to a fabricated, malicious, ridiculous and false report posted on SEVERAL blogS and other social media platforms, in which the minister is falsely accused of threatening to kill Nnamdi Kanu, leader of IPOB.”

He went on to say –

“The statement attributed to the Interior Minister is untrue and quite unfortunate because, the perpetrators of the falsehood and gross innuendoes ought to know that Gen Dambazau (Rtd), a former Chief of Army Staff and a renowned, seasoned security expert with over 30 years PhD degree in criminology cannot conceive such ideals, nor take the credit for such.

“The perpetrators of the malicious statements are out to cause disaffection, disunity and insecurity while creating public unrest, detrimental to the well-being of Nigerians and other foreign nationals in the Country. He therefore called on Nigerians to disregard their antics, as government is committed to the good and prosperity of every Nigerian.”
